Hello,

I'm trying for quite some time to get 4K Altair BASIC 3.2 loaded into the IMSAI replica via WEBPTR without much luck.

I've configure the IMSAI with no boot ROM and 8080 CPU at 2 MHz.

I'm using the bootloader for SIO and the TAP file fom https://altairclone.com/downloads/basic/Paper%20Tape%20and%20Cassette/.

From what I read in SYS:, the WEBPTR is generally connected to SIO2.portA at address 34/35(? is this decimal or hex?), so I changed the corresponding bytes in the bootloader accordingly.
I also tried to reconfigure the WEBPTR to SIO1.portA at address 2/3, but failed there, either.

Not sure what else might need to get configured on an SIO to make this work.

I'd appreciate some help in getting the PTR as well as the bootloader set up so that this experiment would finally work.

Loading a program via PTR into CP/M was working well, simply using pip and the PTR: device.

Thanks for pushing me into the right direction...
Thomas

Won't work, the tape includes a second stage loader which will load the payload from several MITS serial boards, but not from the IMSAI
one, different addresses and different status bits.
For this you need an IMSAI with MITS SIO, or you hack the second stage boot and BASIC to use an IMSAI SIO.

SIO 2A is at 34/35 decimal.

I see. Thanks for pointing that out...
