cheese, pepperoni, and green chili. what other kind of pizza could
anyone ever want? that's right. no such thing.

i think part of why this was much more difficult this year was because
there were so many people and we didn't really collect money for the
pizza ahead of time. and didn't really make it clear that they needed
to pitch in if they wanted to eat any.

i'm for having chinese food alone instead of both.

another option would be to keep the chinese as a night option and drop
the pizza altogether. because, friday is the most hectic day there is,
we lose time on so many things. between the movie and the awards,
there's so much to do. i'm not sure that the pizza is necessary
(although, it's fun)

Point noted...I think part of the negativity surrounding this is that
we didn't order until 12:30 or 1:00, and thus the pizzas weren't ready
until 1:45 or so. And I got Jen and me lost because I got distracted
by the shiny Wal-Mart...

Yes, it would be better if we collected money beforehand. And
communicated better that if students wanted pizza, we needed $$--but
no biggie, it was the first time we had such a huge group so I'm
willing to let it go.

I don't know about dropping the pizza altogether...maybe if it could
be replaced with some other Fun Snack (TM). I think Friday is really
hectic for us, but it's also the end of a (hopefully) intense
Intersession week for the kids, and it's good for them to have a
chance to relax and chill--and I don't know if just having the movie
is enough for that...though it may be. Let's talk about it some
more :-P

Good point. If we replaced pizza with tea and cookies, we could save
lots of $$ (and no $5 fee for pizza for the kids). They'd have to eat
lunch at Sodexho, but they'd still be getting off campus for Chinese
Food on Tues/Wed.
