I switched from Lightroom to CaptureOne a while ago but I was always missing the nice film styles/presets which have been available for Lightroom. So I took some effort to collect and convert them for CaptureOne with rather acceptable outcome. Not perfect, but pretty good the get the style and mood of the old films. The pack includes film styles for Afga, Fuji, Ilford, Kodax, Polaroid and PX. I even created an MSI installer for convenient installation on Windows.

I was in the exact same situation of moving from LR to C1 and really loving it except for missing my film styles pack and finding the native options available for C1 not quite there in terms of accuracy and quality.

Several years ago, we released Original Film Styles for Capture One.
Since then, these styles have been approved by thousands of Capture One photographers worldwide.
Each style provides a unique look of the film photography legends: Ilford Delta, Kodak Portra, Agfa Scala, Polaroid and many other popular films.
Today, these legendary film styles are back with advanced layered versions and additional remastered looks.

The remastered styles offer more complex adjustments, making it easier to find a look that fits your image best.
These styles take advantage of Dehaze and other powerful Capture One tools.
However, the remastered styles apply the same time-trusted color grading. They are designed to make your favorite styles work even better.

Capture One Film Styles styles now store all the adjustments in layers, making it way easier to modify a style according to your image. For instance, here, R-G-B curves have a strong impact on an image, so you can adjust the RGB layer opacity to make it fit your image better.

B&W styles are also fully layered, giving you complete control over the Black and White look.
Adjusting the B&W layer will not affect saturation; your image will always stay black and white.

Simply double-click the Install Styles.costylepack file and the styles will automatically appear in Capture One. Also, you can install them manually by copying the styles into the Capture One system folder. Here is how to access the Capture One system folder:

Phase One has already released multiple Styles Pack since the beginning of the summer. Today, they announced their brand new Film Styles Pack and I had the chance to play around for a few days before it was officially announced. Rather than offering you a simple release article, I thought a review would be more useful. After four weddings and a couple of portrait sessions edited with it, here are my thoughts and why this might just be the perfect pack for VSCO lovers who rely on Capture One for their professional photo editing work.

The Film Styles Pack is different than the previous ones in the sense that it mimics the look of popular film stocks. It includes fifteen different Styles, and each of them comes in three different strength. Three of the Styles are black and white looks, and the remaining ones are color processing.

I know some photographers think it's a waste to buy these packs when you "could" create them yourself, but in reality, these are just tools for the toolbox and they can be great time savers. I love the Spectrum "color grading" styles as they are (for me at least) a great starting point when editing a batch of photos. I will definitely look at this Film style pack now as well.

I think it is OK to keep the styles nameless. If they were named with the famous film names, most of the users would start to compare and to criticise. Take them as they are and use which one you like.

That's something I've had issues with VSCO over. They really don't look much like the films they claim to be emulating. Maybe some bit of the colors but not much. Mastin Labs seems to be the best at this but even they need a lot more editing after the preset to get a decent match.

I use C1 Pro as my RAW processor (have done since version 5), but have never used styles. I have in the past used NikSoft to create film simulation especially if I want a particular B&W film grain look. After Google purchased Nik Soft they stopped developing the software, which was a disappointment, but the possibly good news is that DXO has bought Nik collection Software from Google & are planning on developing it to meet today's demands etc.
Nik Soft always named their film styles after the film look it was supposed to represent, so a good starting point. Hopefully DXO don't ruin it or make it only available within their RAW processor

Hi, I have Capture One and shoot with a Fuji X-Pro2. I like Fuji's Provia look and in Lightroom, I have the option of selecting the Fuji Provia camera profile to apply to my RAW files and get as close a look as I can to the in-camera JPEG shot on Provia.

In Capture One, I've recently purchased the 1style Film Pack (1styles.pro) which includes a large selection of film looks: my question is the following -- what do I have to set the ICC profile to on Capture One, when I apply the purchased Film pack's colour profiles?

Capture One automatically assigns the ICC profile of Fuji X-Pro 2 Generic. That's fine but when I apply 1style's Film pack Provia profile, the output isn't as accurate. I imagine that the colour profile of the pack will be different depending on selected ICC profile -- so while the film packs adjustments are the same, the colour output will be very different if someone is using say a Fuji vs a Nikon vs something else.

When I set the ICC profile to Adobe DNG, it possibly looks more realistic -- but I'm not sure and wanted to get some expert advice on this. Is that what I should be doing to "normalize" the Film pack's effect on my RAW files?

Styles are applied AFTER the primary rendering of the photographic data using the selected profile in COne engine is done and the result is displayed on your monitor. Style are trying to bundle settings e.g. as Ilford FP4, Kodak TriMax, Fuji Velvia, Ektachrome, Kodachrome etc.

Thomas is on the money. A style is a collection of alterations that a photographer made to achieve a certain "look." That said I was just looking on the style developers web site and some of the styles look interesting.
