Hi all,

Wishing you a warmth Christmas season among the dearest of you all, I would like to share this tiny piece of our Christmas tree:

The Christmas reflection

“Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”

Luke 2, 14

He was trying to excel, to achieve, to set himself a pace, to get things done, to learn… And that was all related to one thing: work. Knowledge gave him a pleasure that is just commonly tasted by a few. When time arrived to stop, there was no such reason, even in Christmas. The things, all had to fit perfectly on that scheme, those steps, this schedule….

And Christmas was kind of weird. In such a time ‘some people’ forgot about the everyday and just let everything go, their guilts, their faults, their gaps, their arguments, the fault on their stars. As they could understand that was this journey finite and sinusoidal. And Christmas had a part on that equation. And it was Christmas time the closest to ‘the period’. Nobody could stop it (...if only for a year…)

Ellipsis… Ellipsis… That is knowledge, an endless goal never achieved and barely mastered by experience as things are relative (thanks Einstein). Did we mention Einstein?

-          Hey man, how is that a particle can be at the same time in two places?

Oh no, that did not fit…

Equation 1: The periodicity of a year

Equation 2: A particle in two places at the same time

But then, that infinitesimal part of the universe with a brain, just stopped, everything was again starting to be too complicated. He was about to look for a book, an article about it all.

Then singing CHRISTmas carols arrived a bunch of kids,

with reds and whites and greenish everywhere…

It was enough for him to SEE that the “to excel” star had more than one vertex, and that to even dream of ‘perfection’, one had to be a good forgiver, a friend, a giver, an enjoyer, a smiler, a happier, a humbler, a greater, if possible a father, a human on its small amount of universe, a difference by many vertexes of that star; yes, the one on top of that eternal, periodic Christmas tree. But time was not enough! Indeed, it was so little that only forgiveness could help to fill the holes, the technical debts, the ups and downs of every single vertex. But then, he got a hug, a hug still no one knows its arms, a ‘thing’ that made him even better at Excelling, and in more, more many ways. He smiled… while a couple of shining tears silenced the crowd and reflected the Light of the wreaths, like humbled and thankful for a hug he could not ever have written or read about. He thought: ‘It must have been from God’.

Merry Christmas and God’s peace to all who struggle (for any reason) to take a well-deserved break.
