Honestly, this thing is an utter waste of my time. I can’t believe I have tried to persist. Every time there is an “ERROR” that I was not warned about. GARBAGE! Either the format is wrong (why is the format so restricted? What are we back in 1988?), the labels are wrong, there’s an unacceptable character or it just doesn’t like me. Who programmed this garbage????

I am sorry that you have been experiencing problems. My Name is Julie Smith, and I am the developer of Google Tasks Import.

As long as the format used matches the format used by GTB, the import should work fine. But as stated on the main page, GTI was created specifically to import tasks that had been exported from GTB. It was never my intention to create a generic CSV tasks import application, as supporting multiple CSV formats is a lot of work for a single developer. It is a lot more manageable to handle just a single defined CSV file format, as created by GTB.

GTI has been used to successfully import tasks over 4,000 times by over 1,800 users since I created GTI about 2 years ago, and over 2,600 of those imports used the CSV format.The CSV import works well so long as the format matches that described at
