Is this group still active? I want to get in touch with any existing developer community for ImplicitCAD.

Thanks
Kelvin

I exist!

as for the rest... :)

I'm in the IRC channel (#implicitcad on freenode) as well.

Still active, but I haven't done much on the project for a while. I've been busy with other stuff.

Fantastic! Seeing how stale the ImplicitCAD.org site is, i was concerned. Is Chris Olah's repo the most current?

As soon as i decided to switch from OpenSCAD, i ran into a hitch: let clauses are not implemented in SCAD functions, and I've written a bunch I would like to see run in ImplicitCAD. I've changed the parser to add let expressions, but am having trouble with the evaluation of them.

My goal is to write in native Haskell for ImplicitCAD, but I'm stubborn and I want this feature to work.

In general, I would like to help move the code forward. Is there a team or plan or is it mostly independent coders doing their thing?

Cheers,
Kelvin

there's two and a half teams. ;)

there's me and renouid, who have been working on amf support and precision of the engine, there's me and tom who are working on different optimizations to speed up compilation of our 3d printed objects, and there's mmachenry maintaining colah's github.

I'm just starting to tear apart the website; learning ruby for work.

Well that's plenty of teams right there!

Is there anyone who has a lot of experience with the ExtOpenscad interpreter?

Having just picked up Haskell last week, I'm still pretty shaky on the Monad/State/IO parts, and wouldn't mind a sounding board to check my understanding.

Enjoy the Ruby. I haven't touched it but people i know who have used it are huge fans, sometimes scarily so.

Cheers
Kelvin
