Hello,

I'm hoping that some one can help me with which equivalent circuit I should use to model my data in Zview.

I am working on solid polymer electrolytes for Li batteries.

My experimental set up is a sandwich of a stainless steel electrode:SPE:stainless steel electrode.

I have been using a R(CR) as my model circuit.  Does this seem correct?

I am not getting a great semi-circle when I plot the data so I am wondering if I need a different equivalent circuit.  I can provide an image of the data if that would help.

Thanks!

Hi,

If you are using R(CR) - which I'm interpreting to be a resistor in series with a parallel branch containing a second resistor and a capacitor - there should be a semicircle present when you are plotting. Tune the capacitance and the resistor values until a semicircle starts showing up. It may not show up if the parallel resistance is too high, or if the capacitance is such that the characteristic frequency of the RC parallel branch is outside of frequency range of experiment. Hope that helps!

Sincerely -
Kazi Ahmed
