Hello,

I am doing impedance analysis of a battery which works with graphite felt electrodes. These electrodes are very porous and I have observed that the best model to reach a good fit is Bisquert#2. This is consistent, since Bisquert considers pores and electrochemical processes along its length.

But I cannot identify the parameters in the zview Bisquert#2, from DX1-R to DX1-F. Some must be related to resistivity of the electrode in the pore zone and others to pore-length, but I cannot tell which.

Do you know about it?
Any suggestion will be welcome.

Hi Marcel,

have you tried to check these two papers:

“Anomalous transport effects in the impedance of porous film
electrodes,” Juan Bisquert, Germa Garcia-Belmonte, Francisco Fabregat-
Santiago, Albert Compte, Electrochemistry Communications, 1(9) 429-435
(1999), www.chemweb.com

“Influence of the boundaries in the impedance of porous film
electrodes,” Juan Bisquert, Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2 4185-4192
(2000).

They may be helpful.
