Impala 1.0 final released

I am proud to announce the 1.0 final release of Impala.

I have posted a full release announcement on the Impala blog (see

Impala can be downloaded from http://code.google.com/p/impala/downloads/list.
With Impala 1.0 released artifacts are also available in the Maven
central repository. See http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/impalaframework/.

I have really enjoyed developing Impala and look back on the work with
a lot of pride. It has been fun to work on, full of technical
challenges. As a friend put it, this release marks the "end of the
beginning" of the project.
However, there is still plenty of work to do, and plenty of exciting
areas to explore. To this end I would very much welcome involvement in
the project from whoever may be interested.
