Hi,
I was trying to figure out if Impact Mapping would always only have one "Why" ?
I was reading the thread "Trouble starting with first map..." and it seems to be if we have more than one "Goal", a good thing to do in that case would be to understand the "Why" of the goals and use that as the starting point. And reading from the chapter "Preparation step 1: Discover real goals", it does tend to point that direction as well.
I read the book, and looked at some of the examples from the impact mapping website. I have not come across any that shows example of more than 1 "Why".
If I use the example in the book on "Example: Financial transaction processing", the goal there is "reduce transaction cost by 10%". What happens if we also have another goal, say "increase profitability by 20%" ? Would that end up with a separate impact map ?
Thanks !
