The Concordia Summit – Deputy Executive Director for Operations
What?
The Concordia Summit seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Deputy Executive Director of Operations (DEDO). The DEDO will be responsible for ensuring the overall production and logistical success of the 2012 Summit. Specific duties include, but are not limited to; coordination of all schedules, guest lists, invitations, management of staff and contractors involved in the event, serving as the point of contact for high-level officials, and assisting the team of qualified professionals who will serve as Concordia’s management team in order to develop and sustain the organization going forward. The DEDO will play an instrumental role in the planning, execution, and follow up of the 2012 Concordia Summit. Lastly, the DEDO will help assist in the design and execution of Concordia’s signature product –The Concordia Index-which will be created at the 2012 Summit.
When?
Concordia is looking to fill this position ASAP.
Where?
The Concordia Summit is based in midtown Manhattan in New York City, and the 2012 summit will take place on Sept 27th 2012 at the Plaza Hotel in NYC.
Skills required:
The DEDO must be highly organized and strategically focused, consistently displaying the utmost level of professionalism, attention to detail, and confidence as a representative of The Concordia Summit and its leadership. This includes an understanding of world affairs and diplomatic protocol. Most importantly, the DEDO must embody impeccable execution skills with a background in political/corporate advance, designing, planning and executing major events. On a fundamental level, the DEDO must understand the goals and concept of The Concordia Summit – principally, building and maintaining partnerships globally between the public and private sector.
Salary:
Competitive with industry norms, to be discussed at later stage.
