About the Agency  The FTC, Bureau of Competition (BC) is now hiring second year law students for its 2015 Summer Honors Legal Internship Program. We are looking for highly motivated law students with an interest in antitrust law. Interns are placed within one of the following divisions: Mergers I, Mergers II, Merger III, Mergers IV, Anticompetitive Practices, or Health Care.  KEY REQUIREMENTS U.S. Citizenship. Temporary position (Summer 2015). Must attend an accredited law school. Relocation expenses will NOT be paid. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. DUTIES: Back to top We offer substantive legal work that gives interns an opportunity to demonstrate their writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. The small size of the program enables interns to be fully integrated onto investigative teams and take on meaningful assignments with significant responsibility. Assignments may include: drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses; appearing in court or at hearings and depositions with Bureau of Competition attorneys; attending meetings with parties and their outside counsel; leading interview calls and summarizing findings through written reports; reviewing documents; and researching a wide range of legal issues.  QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Back to top U.S. Citizenship Students must have completed two years of law school by the beginning of the 2015 summer. Students must be continuing in legal studies throughout the summer and/or into the Fall of 2015 to be eligible. Students graduating in the Spring of 2015 are not eligible.
