Problems with imms svn version skipping songs

Hi there!

I am experiencing two (hopefully) minor issues with imms (rc8 or svn
does not matter). Sometimes, when I skip songs or Jump to other songs,
the rating never the less improves.

For example:

[...ellon_collie_and_the_infinite_sadness__twilight_to_starlight/stumbleine.mp3]
[Rating: 78+120a] [Last: 21d!] [Skipped] [After: 89]

[...vey/stories_from_the_city_stories_from_the_sea/11_-_horses_in_my_dreams.mp3]
[Rating: 50+115a] [Last: 21d!] [New] [Jumped] [After: 70]

The songs have normal length (so they are not shorter than 30 secs).

Another issue is with audacious version 2.2: imms won't build the
aud-plugin:

adding -laudcore fixes the problem.

Hey,

I'm not sure what's going on with rating increases. Are these songs new? There may be some funny stuff going on with bias (initial guess at the rating based on other similar songs) handling.

I fixed the audacious issue in svn. For some reason they no longer include libaudcore in audclient library set, even though some functions in audacious/plugin.h clearly need it. Somebody should file a bug with them.

Hi Michael,

thanks, the fix worked fine. About the skipping issue: you could be
right, I have a great repository of songs, from which some would not
play due to some UTF-8 issue I had. Now I fixed the issue, resulting in
quite some songs, that are (somewhat) new to imms. And of course, I have
quite a number of songs that are rated 100.

The question is: is this a bug or a "feature" ;-)
