Brief progress update: after a bit of work I have successfully
compiled all of the *requirements* for IMMS on a Windows machine,
using MinGW. That includes Torch! I think MinGW will be preferable to
Cygwin, as it gives us a native Windows executable that doesn't have
to be distributed with other .dlls.
Anyway, there are still some issues compiling IMMS itself under MinGW,
which I have been looking into and will post another email about when
I have finished. In the meantime, if anyone wants to double-check my
steps to see if it works on another machine (especially if you're
running something other than Windows XP), or if you're just
interested, steps are on the wiki -
