Listings Over Time

Hello, I'm working on a project for tracking the total number of listings on IS over time. I'm wondering if there is a way to use the API to get the total number of listings (either aggregated or by HOUSE_BUY / APARTMENT_RENT, etc) given a certain date range or to just get a time series of this figure over time.
