Unfortunately, eMarketer it isn't well known (although it's widely read, quoted and respected in its sector). Lacking an old brand name will make it hard for the China reporter to get interviews. On the upside, eMarketer's NY editors come from sr. levels at Economist Intelligence Unit and Wall St. Journal Asia. They are/it is the real deal.
They need someone to file interviews with Chinese executives, leaders in the digital / online / social media business. Then eMarketer will incorporate the material into their newsletter, articles & briefs, which circulate widely (100s of thousands) to readers on the business side of the Web. The files should be in English, so this is for a bilingual reporter (or an English speaker plus translator). They are paying very well, and open to someone junior -- who is aggressive about getting interviews!
I always like to pass on opportunities for young people. If you know an appropriate candidate, please tell them contact me & I'll put them onto the guy hiring in NY. (I have nothing to do with the job or company except they're acquaintances, & nothing at stake personally!)
All the best & warmest regards,
Jill
