Travel Film Scholarship: New Orleans

Go on a filmmaking assignment to New Orleans!

We are looking for the next travel filmmaker to go on a 10-day assignment to the Big Easy in our 2013 Travel Film Scholarship.

Your job? Explore the rich history and traditions of Mardi Gras, delve into the vibrant music and food scenes, and film it all!

This is your opportunity to be mentored by professional filmmaker Brian Rapsey and will find out firsthand what life is like in the field for travel filmmakers. In that time, you will be required to produce 3-5 three-minute videos on the people and stories you encounter in New Orleans.

To apply, you must submit a travel video on one of our chosen themes and tell us why you would be the best candidate for the job.

Visit the WorldNomads.com Scholarship page for more information on applying. Applications close November 6, 2013.

Apply now and take one step closer to turning that dream of becoming a professional travel filmmaker into a reality!

Divya Goes to Greenland!

In case you haven't heard... Divya Agrawal, an aspiring photographer from India, was announced as the winner of our Travel Photography Scholarship.

Divya won for her entry 'Dotma: In a House I can live', a compelling series of images that gave voice to a devastated and voiceless community in her own backyard.

Divya is currently on assignment with Jason Edwards in Greenland (we hear it's 4 degrees there!). Check back in next month for photos and stories of their adventures in the Arctic.
