When you get citizenship through parents you need to apply for the citizen certificate. For this the immigration Form N-600 should be filed. If your parents were US citizens but you were not born in the US, you are still legally a US citizen by birthright. You may be able to prove your citizenship and claim it by filing Form N600 (Application for Certificate of Citizenship).
Kids born to US citizen parents still married are citizens by birth. They should register child's birth with the embassy with the required documents as soon as possible as the first step in establishing their child's claim to U.S. citizenship at birth. Baby can enter the US with birth certificate and passport and then parents can apply for citizenship certificate after entering US.
