NBI Clearance “Hit Status” delay anyone else experiencing this?

Hi everyone,

I applied for my NBI Clearance for an overseas job, but my status is showing “Hit” and it’s been almost a week now.

I’m a bit worried because I need it urgently for my immigration process. Has anyone experienced the same delay recently?

I read that it usually happens when your name matches someone else, but not sure how long it really takes now in 2026.

Yeah bro, this is actually pretty common these days.

I had the same “Hit” status recently and it took around 7–10 working days before it got cleared. It usually depends on how many name matches you have in their system, so timing can vary a bit.

Since yours is for immigration, I’d suggest just keep checking your status online daily. If it goes beyond 10 days, you can also try visiting the NBI branch where you applied to follow up—it sometimes speeds things up.
