Location: Atlanta, GA OR Forth Worth, TX ( Remote)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

*** This role is remote but candidates need to near the Atlanta or the Fort Worth Office***

 

Job Description: 

Seeking an experienced Cognos Administrator to support and maintain their enterprise Business Intelligence environment. This individual will be responsible for the administration, performance, stability, and ongoing enhancement of IBM Cognos Analytics while partnering with reporting developers, data teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support IBM Cognos Analytics environments, including Development, Test, Production, and Disaster Recovery.
• Lead and support Cognos upgrades, including Cognos v11 migrations and enhancements.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize platform stability and scalability.
• Manage software installation, configuration, security, licensing, deployments, and environment maintenance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to reporting developers and business users.
• Participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, change management, incident management, and problem resolution activities.
• Collaborate with Data Warehouse, Infrastructure, Application Development, and Business teams to deliver reporting and analytics solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, standards, and operational procedures.
• Support production environments, including occasional on-call responsibilities.
• Recommend system improvements and new capabilities to enhance reporting and analytics performance.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience designing, developing, administering, and supporting Business Intelligence platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience administering IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Experience with Cognos v11 upgrades and migrations.
• Experience with system performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and environment management.
• Knowledge of security administration, software deployments, and BI platform governance.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting environments within Data Warehouse and Operational Data Store ecosystems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Power BI Administration and/or Development experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise analytics environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Change Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
