The Prolific PL2305 chipset is used with this adapter. This comes with a parallel printer cable. The maximum data transfer data rate is 1.5Mbps and comes a a USB-C port as you can see from the pictures above. The power source is the USB port and done not need an adapter. The other connections are also the DB-25 adapter female connection type. See for driver file below for the chipset. See also the uc232a driver download as well as the HP Laserjet 3380 printer.
Again, to reiterate - it is not a hardware problem because everything was working fine before Windows upgraded. I just need to find a way to reinstall a driver that will talk to my printer. It's frustrating because I was able to do this before but can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
After this drill, check out if windows 10 was able to locate the best driver to use your printer.
If Widows did not automatically find it, try the manual add on Add a printer wizard.
If not read as LPT1, check throughout the ports for either USB00"#" or DOT4 port, those should be the ports to use.
I hope this helps you get your printer going again.
It looks like that option is not available under Printer Driver Properties. Many thanks, though. It's looking to be a conflict between Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and the printer driver, because other applications seem to print without this problem.
Try to reinstall cable drivers. This is more an Impact issue than a cable issue. Apparently a very common one among Impact users. I googled the error and found some solution. Maybe some of them would work. Se here
Microsoft Windows operating system includes the VGA graphics drivers only. Therefore, for optimum graphics performance, it is recommended that Dell graphics drivers applicable for your PC be installed from Dell Drivers & Downloads website under the "Video" section.
if it appears on universal serial bus as unrecognised device with the writing (device descriptor request failed) then you have a botched cable or a fault in the CH340/FT232/ATMEGAU16, which is the IC responsible for the TTL UART to USB conversion.
while i was typing you posted you screenshot, what i see is the (device descriptor request failed), so it isnt a driver issue, it is either a damaged cable, blown USB to SERIAL converter on the board, or you have an ATMEGA32U4 which doesnt have a USB to SERIAL converter and needs a bootloader to work.
How are you sending your design to the cutter? What exactly are you doing? Cutter drivers or cable drivers have nothing to do with opening Flexi Production . Manager. Of course you can't send it to a cutter, because your not connected, BUT the Production Manger will open and be ready.
You find the null modem cable that matches the slot on your cutter and the other end of the cable is connected to the end of the Tripplite Keyspan adapter, (9 pin), then the USB end to you computer. It can be connected to any vinyl cutter with the correct pin null modem cable. No. I don't have a link for a driver.
