150 Pastors Visit Immanuel Church

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont will host the Fall Pastor
Conference for the Central Illinois District of the Lutheran Church--
Missouri Synod. On October 19-21 the twice-annual conference will meet
at Immanuel to listen to speakers and discuss theology. The most
impressive event of these conferences is the worship service, where
over 150 pastors, church workers, and local church members are
expected to join in singing and receive the Lord's Supper together.
The service will be Monday at 1 pm. Dr. Reed Lessing of Concordia
Seminary, St. Louis, will be the preacher. The grades 6-8 choir of
Altamont Lutheran Interparish School will also sing during the
service.

I encourage church members to attend the Monday afternoon service. If
you have never heard 150 pastors sing a hymn, you won't want to miss
it.
