I have been 'Inta' a lot a wikipedia articles, as well as a lot of
technical references. I have just been using 'story' as the category,
but would appreciate a category of 'article' or 'reference' or
something like that. Or are the categories dependent upon feed types?

Thanks in advance.

At the moment there are types for all the services we have added. So,
for example, there wasn't an "event" type until we added sonic living
and upcomming.org.

We're rethinking the whole category system now. They are part of the
navigation used on the site, so we don't want to go crazy and add
dozens of them, but we need to add a few more. We are also considering
tweaking the names of them to more accurately reflect the kinds of
content they contain.

Finally, we're considering tagging for this stuff (in addition to
categories) so that you can be more specific with your additions.

This is good feedback though. We're actively thinking on this problem
and so any feedback from you guys is useful in this process.

Right on, and then I'd be able to assign tags to groups?
The ability to filter content to audiences based on my own
categorization would be the missing link. Right now I can partially
keep things separate by keeping work away from say youtube and digg,
but in reality my privacy/exposure in the end boils down to individual
items rather than streams. A slick way to set default tags per post,
per stream, that can then be customized per post to mix up your feeds
is really exciting. An even easier solution I suppose would be to just
add your groups to each item you're 'inta'. Then you would have a
default filter/exception.

Good luck anyways, it sounds like you know what I'm talking about.

Assigning each inta to a group on the fly would require some extra
thought. It has more to do with the structure of the data in our
database and how fast we can perform a given search to display a page.

But I hear what you're saying. More granularity would be useful for
you. We'll put some thought into it.

Thanks for the feedback!
