I upgraded my version of the Store Manager for PrestaShop to 2.54.0(Build 2185). When I try to open the StoreManager I receive an error saying "You have problem with your database. Please check all the tables available in your database or check database configuration." I then click "Open Preferences" which takes me to a window where I can test the connection to my store. When I test the bridge connection, the store connects and there are no errors.
I do not understand what the issue is and what changed during the update. I did not insert any additional information or make any changes; if someone has resolved a similar issue, any help would be appreciated.
I have cleaned the windows registry, I have re-registered store manager. I have tried all three connection options in store manager.
Everything gives me ok, when I try the option "get data from the web", the error window appears. I am using the 15 days version, to test store manager, I have 10 days left and I could not test the program.
Any suggestion?
Thank you.
Hello, thanks for answering.
It has not worked at any time. All steps in config give ok. I have tried the three ways of connection, all three give me ok in the config. When I try to connect to my website, that's when the error appears. If you close the program and start it again, the error appears. Attached doc.
I have uninstalled, cleared the registry in windows, cleared cache, cleared the folder generated in Appdata, I have reinstalled and the same thing happens.
If you say it did not work at any time, first thing that comes in mind that antivirus software or Firewall can cause this issue. You can try to temporarily disable it to give the software a chance to connect to store.
2) delete the folder on your PC with your database name in "LocalMySQLData" folder (you can find this folder on your PC by this path: C:\Users\%username%\appData\Local\eMagicOne Store Manager for PrestaShop\LocalMySQLData\data\%database name%). Store Manager has to be closed before doing this operation.
What are the best aspects of this product? - If you have a multi-store setup, its basically impossible to bulk manage your products without Magento Store Manager. We also use the product to import and export products from Magento which again, is another activity you cannot do without this solution.
What aspects are problematic or could work better? - It's a desktop-based app, but thats for a reason. Sure it would great if it were a saas type solution, but then you deal with all sorts of potential security issues, so the desktop app is probably the only way to go.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product? - I've not come across any specific task that I could not complete in this solution.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product? - The ability to bulk manage products. We have over 8000 SKUs, so using a tool like this is imperative.
Are you a current user of this product? - Yes
What do you like best? - The best thing I like about this product is the fact that this is a desktop application. The UI for the application is simple and usable hence operations are hassle-free. One imp feature that i like the most is the ability to add products by importing a wide range of file types and also I can edit the products on the go.
What do you dislike? - This product is missing integration with Zoho Books. This is not a string point to dislike as I think this will come into a small audience only. Since my accounts were managed using Zoho books I really missed this feature.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? - The Magento web admin panel UI is very complicated and it will take months to get used to it. Also, the functionality is limited to some extend and we need to rely on extensions for any additional feature required. But in the Magento store manager, the UI is simple and intuitive. Also, there are a lot of additional features that are available without the use of plugins.
What do you like best? - It enhances the capability of the Magento store as its offers almost everything related to the eCommerce store like from catalog management to order management
Also its offer the omnichannel support for your magento store.
What do you dislike? -As per my experience, it requires the basic technical & fundamental knowledge to set up the Magento store with different platforms like amazon, etc. You must have to technical knowledge for import & export products.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? - I have solved to focus on a targeted audience for my products on various platforms like to sell products on amazon. Apart from that, it gives you functionality like to bulk import, export, so you don't need to make more efforts if you have large database
Summary: I believe we save 50% of our time working in Store Manager compared to working form the Magento backend due to the loading in each and every step we have to endure working in Magento's backend.
It is also much easier for staff to learn the program than to learn the ways around Magento backend.
Adding big catalogue into multiple categories is another thing that works 10 x faster compared to doing it the normal way in Magento admin.
Positive: Huge time saver. We had enough of waiting around in the Magento backend, those days are now over. The only regret is that we didn't start using Store Manager much earlier!
Negative: Honestly so far there isn't any cons when comparing being without this software.
What do you like best?
Its a local Windows program, so its a lot easyer to teach to store managers and a lot easyer to set up. It gives stable and fast possibilities, so it gives your money back by time saving.
What do you dislike?
The connection was difficult to setup, but the support was very helpfull to solve the problems.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Easy uploading of categories and products from csv.
I had the Store Manager for OSCommerce for about 5 years, and it was wonderful. So I'm very familiar with the set-up and the functions.
Now I'm transitioning to Magento, and I have to tell you that I wouldn't be able to run my business without Store Manager.
What do you like best? - I like the simplicity of the platform and custom units
What do you dislike? - I dislike not being able to edit the products so easily
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? - I am able to transact sales so easily, I would like to have more options when I get orders
What do you like best?
Magento product batch import and update functions are great. Compatible with all Magento versions. Even if there is a new version of Magento, it can be updated quickly.
What do you dislike?
There is a lack of intelligence in the identification of fields, which needs to be manually modified each time. Missing some fields will cause unexpected bugs, which can only be fixed by deleting the product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hope to provide more batch management functions
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
It can manage all my websites in batches, upload and update products. If you treat him as a PIM software, it should be the easiest one to operate and install.
We just started the migration of our store to Magento, we found on Store Manager the indispensable tool to design and execute our migration plan, the interface is very intuitive and useful
Migrated with ease, categories, products, attributes, even previous orders everything in one tool
I totally recommend it.
I was faced with an old Magento install that had been migrated and updated multiple times making further upgrades impossible. So by installing a brand new copy of the latest Magento and then using Store Manager for Magento Professional Edition to move the products over I was able to end up with a clean install of the latest Magento with all the existing products.
I use Storemanager since several months now andit really is a hughe timesaver.
It needs some work to get used to it, like every complex usefull software, but their reliable support will even make this as easy as possible and continuously answer all questions or even do the configuration. Thank you Nadia !!
Summary: Amazing and would recommend anyone to use it. It speeds up workflow. If you ever have had to go into each associate product and make changes you will know the time saved with this software.
Positive: I moved from using Store Manager from Prestashop to Magento when I replatformed so I do love the program. It is so easy to use and a great initiative interface.
The Support is amazing. Very responsive, very polite and very patient. Some companies claim to have great support but these guys actually have great support!!
Negative: It can be a little confusing at first to understand what is happening and to get your head around the fact there are 2 platforms. Your live website and the replica on your local drive. Once you have that, the rest is simple.
Store Manager for Magento was extremely helpful in importing products and categories into Magento. It saved a lot of time and headaches. Their Support both through chat and through email has been timely, consistent and confidence building. I would say Store Manager is definitely one of the must have tools for your Magento Store to manage products, images, categories etc. and also be able to rapidly restructure assignments, positions of categories and products. I would recommend both the product and their support highly.
The Store Manager is an exceptional good and useful tool which give us a great benefit. Particular as we have more than 10.000 different products to handle and can easily update special prices or move items to different categories. What I particular like is the excellent support. Every question and troubles had been solved within 24 hours and I consider this as the best support I ever get. Thank you very much and keep on the great work !
