The game is set in the near future and focuses on the fictional first Russo-American War between the United States and Russian Federation, mainly in the fictional country of Serdaristan. It follows a four-man fireteam from "B" Company of the 222nd Army battalion, commonly called "Bad Company," composed of troublemakers whose use in the battlefield is limited to the role of cannon fodder. Private Preston Marlowe (David Menkin), newly transferred to the company, is the game's protagonist. The more intelligent but nervous Private Terrence Sweetwater (Richard Lynson) serves as a foil to Private George Gordon Haggard Jr. (Nigel Whitmey), a pyromaniac and the comic relief of the story. Sergeant Samuel D. Redford (Bruce Johnson) is the team's leader. He is the first to volunteer for his position in exchange for shortening his term of service and has only three days left to serve. The campaign takes place in the fictional Caucasian country of Serdaristan, and a fictional Middle Eastern city called Sadiz near the Caspian Sea.[14]
The player follows the story of Preston Marlowe, a recently transferred member of the US Army to the "B" company of the 222nd Army Battalion, known by many as "Bad Company" due to it being a conglomerate of "all the insubordinates, hell-raisers and troublemakers that won't fit in any other unit". Preston fights alongside Samuel Redford, Terrence Sweetwater, and George Gordon Haggard Jr. against the Russian Army, the Middle Eastern Coalition and the Legionnaire Mercenaries.
On what was supposed to be Redford's last mission before retirement, the squad is sent to move through more Russian territory when they find a house with the Legionnaires' insignia on a sign in front, Acta Non Verba - Latin for "Action, Not Words". Haggard sends Marlowe inside to check out the house. There, Marlowe finds the first case of gold. The squad had been given orders to destroy fuel and missile storage facilities and to then meet up with a US Armored Division and escort them into the Russian-held city of Zabograd. Bravo-One Charlie is sent ahead to clear the pass of anti-tank missile launchers and to escort the tanks to the other side of the town where the main assault is to take place. The squad is then sent to destroy a Russian radio outpost before they call for reinforcements, but they are too late as the call is made and more Russian forces arrive. Just then, a rocket is heard hitting a US tank nearby, to which Mike-One-Juliet sends the squad to defend it from the enemy reinforcements until more US forces arrive. Mike-One-Juliet then sends them to a harbor full of suspicious activity and says that if they do a good job, she could get them out the company and in to a better unit. They arrive at the harbor, but find that it is full of mercenaries. The squad, led by Haggard and the thought of gold, fight their way through, but after checking the bodies, find nothing. They then spot some trucks and watch them drive away. As they go, a bar of gold drops out of the back and they become determined to follow them and retrieve the gold.
Many of the maps in Battlefield: Bad Company are large to accommodate the many vehicles used on them. With the added ability of destructible environments, every building, tree, wall, etc. can be destroyed as the engine allows 95% of the world to be destroyed. The other 5% that cannot be completely destroyed are internal walls of buildings, buildings themselves, and certain terrain types such as large concrete docks or water. Battlefield: Bad company features a total of twelve maps.
Amazing sound. My dads been in Northern Ireland and the Falklands with the Royal Marines and the first thing he said when he saw me playing battlefield was how realistic the sound effects were. Great job everyone who worked on it!
No, all cards played this way would enter the battlefield at the same time. They would see each other enter, but she would not be on the battlefield in time to see the other one enter and so trigger her ability.
They all enter the battlefield at the same time and they all see each other doing that. That means your Anafenza will trigger for however many other creatures that enter the battlefield along with her from Collected Company.
EddCrawley is only partly right. They do both come into play at the same time, which means they do see each other enter, which DOES mean that her triggered ability would go on the stack. They literally hit simultaneously, there's no delay between which would hit play first, its actually kind of counter intuitive to think that the Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit "would not be on the battlefield in time to see the one enter" since your first two premises to your explanation indicate just the opposite.
The creatures enter the battlefield at the same time but you still get what you want. Because of the way triggered abilities work, things that enter the battlefield simultaneously can trigger "ETB" abilities on each other. Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit will trigger from the other creature in your example.

Enemy Team VO: This setting controls the language of the dialog used by enemy teams in multiplayer. When set to Original, the Russians will speak in Russian; when set to Localized, they will speak mostly in English with a Russian accent. Localized is recommended if you wish to understand what is being said by the enemy. Original gives a more authentic experience but can place you at a tactical disadvantage on the battlefield.
Make sure you use the 'Issue Order / Communicate / Spot' key (Q by default) to communicate your needs and to assist your team. This key is context sensitive; simply look at an enemy vehicle or enemy infantry for example and press Q - your character will give an appropriate yell and the position will be flagged in red on the minimap, serving as a useful warning for your entire team. If you need a health pack, look at a medic (indicated by a cross icon) and press Q to request one; if you need repairs, look at an engineer (indicated by a spanner icon) and press Q; if you need a pickup, look at a friendly vehicle and press Q, and so on. By the same token, if you're a medic, engineer, driving a vehicle, or just another soldier on the battlefield, listen and look out for these prompts from teammates and respond to or take heed of them. Good communication makes all the difference in BFBC2.
Hopefully you're now armed with all the info you need to get the most out of BFBC2 on your system. Don't forget to keep an eye on your soldier's status using the Official BFBC2 Stats Site and if you've played two or more of the previous games in the Battlefield series (and can remember your account details), you qualify for Veteran Status which gives your soldier additional weapon unlocks in BFBC2. Have fun on the battlefield!
Being in this industry is not easy, and most people who try to make a start in it don't really know what it is that they are getting into. Don't get me wrong, for those of us who do this job day in and day out - well, let me just speak for myself - I love this job and the whole "lifestyle" of it. That is where most folks stumble at, and then start pointing the finger of blame at the terrible company they were working for. Being a truck driver is more of a "lifestyle" than it is just choosing a career path to follow. It requires long hours, being estranged from your family for lengthy periods of time, self motivation, and self discipline. Most folks who get into trucking have usually had jobs where they punch a clock and get a lunch break, then go home at night and sleep in their own beds... very few truck drivers operate like that - as an example, I worked all night last night, and I'm starting again for another all nighter when I finish responding to you. Nobody asked me to do that, but it was required by the load I'm hauling from Louisiana to Connecticut, if I was going to get there on time.
The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.
If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.
I sincerely suggest that you do your research, ask questions, and chose a company that is in-line with what you want and need to get started in the industry. Once you have a year or two of experience with a good driving record, then you can perhaps make a more long-term career decision. Lot's of opportunities! Good luck.
