If you see a "Profile Missing" error message that says, Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible it usually means that Firefox can't find or access the profile folder. This article explains what to do if you see this error.
This error started happening because my Firefox originally wasn't saving the add-ons that I was trying to add. If I closed my browser and opened another one it would be gone. I tried refreshing the browser but that didn't help. I eventually tried reinstalling to see if that would fix the issue and then this error popped up and now I cannot stop it.
I tried reinstalling. I tried deleting the profile out of appdata, etc in hopes it would make a fresh one. I tried making a new profile by running it without opening the browser only to be given an error that doesn't save it. I'm at a loss on how to get my Firefox working again. It is my favorite browser and this is the first time I've ever really had a severe problem with it. Help!
Sorry to hear about this problem. If you haven't already, I suggest doing a regular shutdown and restart of Windows to release file locks, complete any pending updates, and resolve any transient privilege issues that may be preventing normal file access.
This error message usually indicates that the files Firefox uses to identify your default profile point to a nonexistent folder. How that got out of sync is a bit of a mystery, but if you deleted anything from
that could explain it. Do you want to go into the Windows Recycle Bin and restore what you deleted from the AppData\Roaming folder? (No need to restore anything from AppData\Local, it's not important for this issue.)
Per my previous comment, if you send me a RAW DNG from your PrimeFilm XAS, I can add a custom profile for it, which should be a bit more accurate and would avoid the need to run the utility or restart Lightroom. You can send samples to na...@natephotographic.com
I have attached some images of what my conversions are like using nlp v2.3, this weird blue and red contrast has been a problem for me for a while. It doesnt seem like I can get a good conversion, I am left doing a lot of post editing just to make the image look acceptable.
Also no matter what I do, the profile missing error appears on my lightroom ( I have attached picture). I have followed all of your instructions down to the letter for scanning with vuescan and the procedures I need to take after importing them to Lightroom. Please help, I am at my wits end with these issues.
We have a structural model hotlinked into our main pln, which contains some beams with custom profiles, for example W12X14. I noticed a lot of duplicates in the hotlinked and main pln, so I went into the Attribute Manager and deleted all of the W12X14 (1), W12X14 (2), etc., and in the dialogue that appeared after to replace the custom profile with another one I chose the original W12X14. I did this first in the hotlinked pln, and then also in the main pln, but now some of my beams in my main pln have MISSING for the custom profile under Structure. Below is a beam from the main pln:
I can't change the profile the beam is using in the main pln, as the beam is being hotlinked in, but in my hotlinked file it shows fine and that it is using the proper W12X14 profile. Below is the same beam from the hotlink file:
If you create a new attribute in one file, you need to make sure you use the Attribute Manager to 'Overwrite by index number' to all other linked files, so you have the same attribute with the same index number in all files.
In the new profile view there are gaps in the interim surface. How can I get the entire interim surface profile to display in the new profile view? It appears that the gaps in the surface profile correspond to locations where the new alignment geomentry differs from the old alignment. The interim surface extends well beyond the new alignment, and there are no gaps or holes in the surface.
Jeff, thanks for the reply, I did eventually figure out what the problem is. The interim surface did not extend as far as I thought, and the gaps in the profile view correspond exactly to the limits of the surface. So, it wasn't a display problem; the profile view was showing me where the interim surface needed to be revised, and it just took me a while to understand what I was seeing.
I just started shooting with a DJI Mini 2, which can do RAW. However, when I import into LR using my normal preset, it says 'profile missing' under the calibration section. If I go to the dropdown, I can select 'color', but the adobe color profile (and others) are nowhere to be found. They are there when I import RAWs from my other cameras. BTW, this image from the DJI is a DNG. Not sure if that has something to do with it?
That threw me for a loop, but a little googling educated me: Adobe doesn't make "Adobe XXX" profiles for DJI cameras, so LR and Camera Raw use the profile that DJI embeds in the DNG (that's the "Color" profile). See the long discussion in this thread:
I downloaded a sample DJI Mavic Mini 2 DNG from dpreview.com and don't observe that behavior. Upload a problem DNG to Dropbox or similar and post the sharing link here, and we can see if this issue happens on other LR installations and perhaps identify the problem.
Evidently you got the "Profile missing" error because you applied a preset on import that tried to apply the Adobe Standard profile (or a profile based on Adobe Standard, such as Adobe Color or Adobe Landscape).
Ah, that explains it! Thanks for that info. I do have my import preset configured to default to Adobe Color. So I guess I am just stuck using the "color" profile. That's a shame because I do like Adobe Color, but I guess it is what it is.
strangely, when I went into the sketch i found that I could no longer highlight the profile by moving my cursor inside the perimeter. I checked the connection points to make sure there's no leaks or intersection anywhere, but it still doesn't work. To clarify, what I did earlier in this sketch is to scale the original profile, superimpose a spline, and delete the original profile. The new profile has much fewer control points.
I don't want to share the whole design file. If this description is not enough, can someone at least tell me what are the possible reasons why this warning occurs? Frankly last night i nearly lost it out of rage and frustration because I could not even edit a simple extrude. I think we can really use a database to explain the common causes for those warnings. If there's indeed one, I didn't find it.
Great advice given here already. Add to that, Fusion may not recognize points as co-located that seem such; White Points usually indicate this condition, Black (or no points) connected. The add-in Connect-the-Dots is an invaluable tool for connecting co-located points- I highly recommend it.
A "filter" like on the Apps section with "Installed" and "Missing" would be nice. Could help in some places on troubleshooting and double checking if the owner and device tags are set correctly for profile installations.
Any advances on this? It is now more than a year down the track, and I am still getting the "profile(s) missing", even though it says that the profile I've assigned to our iPads is up-to-date further down the page. So, I have no idea what profile it thinks is missing!
Most of the time when you see the Topic error the device either has a mismatched APNS cert or the MDM profile has been removed somehow. The only way to "fix" this and put it back without a complete(wipe) re-enroll is the profiles command you have there...it essentially grabs the MDM profile, yet doesn't go through the prestage process of creating the users etc...Others may have a better explanation or process to this...but the fix is manual at the moment, unfortunately.

But my team and I have just completed some testing on a CCX 500 (Part Number 3111-49710-001 Rev:A) and have found evidence to suggest there's either an error in the documentation or in the firmware releases. Please correct us if we're mistaken.
When running 6.2.11.1323, the only available Base Profile options are "Microsoft" and "Skype." The "Generic" profile is not available via the UI; when I try to set device.baseProfile to "Generic" via provisioning, the phone instead uses the "Microsoft" profile. No matter which profile is selected, the device fails to register.
