  1. Do all images on your site have a logical representation on a relational database like MySQL, PostgreQSL etc where metadata may be stored?
    Yes, MariaDB (MySQL)
  2. Do you have any server side logic for your site (PHP, ASP, CGI etc)?
    PHP
  3. What’s your level of expertise writing web applications?
    Advanced
  4. Is your site hosted on Windows or Linux?
    Linux (Ubuntu)
  5. Do you have shell access (Linux)?
    Yes
  6. Do you plan on running isk-daemon on a shared hosting environment or on dedicated machines? Shared hosting environments normally do not support long-running processes like isk-daemon, which can use a lot of RAM/disk resources

  7. Which other capabilities are available at your hosting package ?
    Full access to each machine
  8. Are the concepts and relations mentioned on the isk-daemon architecture clear to you?

    Amazon S3
  11. Which HTTP server do you use?
    Apache2
  12. How many images do you plan on making available to searching?
    3+ million
  13. How much CPU and RAM memory do you have available at your servers?
    Dedicated machine for imgseek with 1 CPU core (burstable to 8 cores), 4GB RAM. However, I can upgrade it to whatever is necessary, though.

you will need at least 24Gb ram for the database to load for 3M images. I have 1M images and it eats 6g, but the 8g server is already swapping sometimes.
