As of 2017 November 8, we are supporting OTP builds back to R15. Older builds may or may not work. We will advance release support as new releases of OTP become available. For example, when OTP 21 is released, we will support Erlang builds R16 and newer.

Nix allows me to version way more things than just runtimes/compilers. Additionally this completely prevents me from Erlang/Elixir version mismatch. I use Nix also as my system package manager, so it is like Homebrew and ASDF in one package. Also the idea that I do not need to have packages available globally and instead have them per-environment is very useful.

No, as Nix is whole functional programming language that is used to define working environment, so this is way harder to grasp and understand, but on the other hand it gives you enormous power as it can be used to:

This thread has reminded me how useful #polls are on a forum. Not only can you quickly get a sense of that particular topic by looking at the poll results, but being able to discuss and seek clarification in the thread itself is incredibly useful.

Whenever i try to install anything from version 2018 or earlier, i have to download it manually from the website, because NI Package Manager doesn't show me an option to download anything other than 2019 and 2020 versions.

I'm am preparing for a new installation of ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 with users on ArcGIS Pro 3.1 and ArcMap 10.8.2. I was going to use License Manager 2022.1 but then I saw there was a new version out: 2023.0. Does anyone have any documentation on what is new? Is there any reason to use one or the other? Are there bugs to avoid already in the 2023.0?

Hi Kumi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Using a deprecated (or sunset) API version incurs the risk of losing access to the Ad Manager API, until you upgrade to a newer version. As per the deprecation schedule, the v202002 version is scheduled to be sunset around the end of February, during which all API requests that were coming out of that version would automatically be invalidated by then. I would highly recommend updating to the latest version (v202102) in the soonest possible time.

SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is an integrated environment for managing any SQL infrastructure, from SQL Server to Azure SQL Database. SSMS provides tools to configure, monitor, and administer instances of SQL Server and databases. Use SSMS to deploy, monitor, and upgrade the data-tier components used by your applications and build queries and scripts.

SSMS 20.1 is the latest generally available (GA) version. If you have a preview version of SSMS 20 installed, uninstall it before installing SSMS 20.1. Installing SSMS 20.1 doesn't upgrade or replace SSMS 19.x and earlier versions.

By using SQL Server Management Studio, you agree to its license terms and privacy statement. If you have comments or suggestions or want to report issues, the best way to contact the SSMS team is at SQL user feedback.

The SSMS 20.x installation doesn't upgrade or replace SSMS 19.x and earlier versions. SSMS 20.x installs alongside previous versions, so both versions are available. However, if you have an earlier preview version of SSMS 20 installed, you must uninstall it before installing the latest release of SSMS 20. You can see if you have a preview version by going to the Help > About window.

If a computer contains side-by-side installations of SSMS, verify you start the correct version for your specific needs. The latest version is labeled Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio v20.1.

For SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 18.7 through 19.3, Azure Data Studio is automatically installed alongside SSMS. Users of SQL Server Management Studio are able to benefit from the innovations and features in Azure Data Studio. Azure Data Studio is a cross-platform and open-source desktop tool for your environments, whether in the cloud, on-premises, or hybrid.

In December 2021, releases of SSMS prior to 18.6 will no longer authenticate to Database Engines through Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication (MFA).To continue utilizing MFA, you need SSMS 18.6 or later.

If all goes well, you can see SSMS installed at %systemdrive%\SSMSto\Common7\IDE\Ssms.exe based on the example. If something went wrong, you could inspect the error code returned and review the log file in %TEMP%\SSMSSetup.

This version of SSMS works with SQL Server 2014 (12.x) and later versions. It provides the most significant support for working with the latest cloud features in Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric.

For SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SSMS 17.x and later versions don't support connecting to the legacy SQL Server Integration Services service. To connect to an earlier version of the legacy Integration Services, use the version of SSMS aligned with the version of SQL Server. For example, use SSMS 16.x to connect to the legacy SQL Server 2016 (13.x) Integration Services service. SSMS 17.x and SSMS 16.x can be installed on the same computer. Since the release of SQL Server 2012 (11.x), the SSIS Catalog database, SSISDB, is the recommended way to store, manage, run, and monitor Integration Services packages. See SSIS Catalog for details.

SSMS is available only as a 32-bit application for Windows. If you need a tool that runs on operating systems other than Windows, we recommend Azure Data Studio. Visit Azure Data Studio, for more details.

At that time I guessed that there was something in the latest versions of the module, so it was taken down temporarily.
So I decided to wait for a couple of months but nothing changed; the latest version available was still 14.0.2.5.
I then started to google around and found that there were forum posts that stated that the user is using version 14.0.2.16 of Endpoint Manager.

I tried enabling Edge Mode in advanced settings, applied the change and re-scanned for updates, but nothing changed.
So it looks like the latest version for Endpoint Manager is stuck. However, I am able to update other modules without issues.
Just for reference, the FreePBX Framework version is 14.0.3.6, and I was also able to see version 14.0.3.7 when I turned on Edge Mode.

Polycom is not a certified partner so things like this happen when we do not have items to do for Certified partner phones so you will rarely see Polycom updates of any kind from us as they are basically frozen in time unless a major bug gets introduced in EPM to keep from even doing basic provisioning. I can see the confusion in the way this is written. I speaks only of 12.0.2.0 and onwards. I know that the WGM is following its own release cycle loosely tied to Windchill releases. Clearly it says that WGM 12.0.2.0 is NOT supported with Windchill 12.0.0.x. I would therefore recommend sticking with version 12.0.0.1 which is available from the software downloads.

Upgrade to M020. That is your only path forward. When you have non-PTC CAD integrations, it is critical to stay within the support window for the two products. It can be complicated but it means holding back CAD upgrades and keeping current with Windchill versions. You mentioned Customers, are you managing their data or just trying to import it?

Juliaup is a new Julia version manager for Windows that is distributed via the Windows Store and manages your Julia installation on Windows. Juliaup makes it easy to keep your Julia installation up-to-date and to manage multiple Julia versions on one system. Juliaup is currently in preview, but should be fairly stable and ready for real world usage.

Once you have that installed, julia is on the PATH, there is a start menu shortcut and it will show up as a profile in Windows Terminal. Any of those will start Julia. The VS Code extension will also automatically find this Julia installation.

The code for Juliaup and the installer is hosted at GitHub - JuliaLang/juliaup: Julia installer and version multiplexer. Most of it is written in Julia itself, so it should be fairly easy to help and contribute Which of course would be fantastic! There is a long list of improvements that would make things work smoother, we need help with the artwork for the store listing, and it would be great if some folks would try to port this to Mac and Linux!

If you do try this, please report back about your experience here! In particular if things work, before we could make this a more official option we need some confirmation that things actually work for folks.

One suggestion: I had Julia 1.6 installed before with Revise in my startup. After installing Juliaup (with Julia 1.5), Julia did not start because Revise is not in my (blank) 1.5 default environment. This is of course easy to fix, but slightly inconvenient.
Would it be possible to copy the newest / closest existing default environment if a new Julia minor version is installed?

Hm, so I think you should probably treat C:\Users\jrafa\.julia\juliaup\x64\julia-1.6.1\etc\julia\startup.jl as read-only, right? The way the VS Code extension should (in theory) find this install is that if there is a julia command on the PATH, then the extension will use that. So not sure, but maybe you have another julia on your PATH somehow? You can pretty easily figure out which version of Julia exactly is running inside the VS Code Julia REPL by typing Sys.BINDIR in the REPL.

Re the VS Code situation: my best guess is that you have a path to the Julia binary configured in VS Code, and that will stay around, even if you uninstall the VS Code extension. The way to fix this is to go into your user settings in VS Code, go to the Julia section and remove the configuration for the Julia binary path, so that that setting is just empty. At that point the extension should find the Juliaup configured Julia.
