Hi folks,

We have a user who isn't seeing his lightroom library. Anybody have any hints or diagnostics we can provide this guy?

Any messages at all in the console? Is there any chance the user is privvy to newer versions of Lightroom that have not yet shipped but have an updated DB format?

The Lightroom parser will look for key "recentLibraries20" in Lightroom preferences matching his Lightroom version. If that key is absent it will look for key "libraryToLoad20".

Where do they point to? Does that library exist? If your user is using a sandboxed version of Sandvox: Does the library live outside of the scope of entitlements given? I don't know how iMedia 2.5 handles this circumstance.

Regards, Jörg.

Jörg,

Hmm… this is using the non-sandboxed iMedia standalone executable.

What's the preferences files for Lightroom?  Is there a file like "com.adobe.Lightroom.plist"?

He's using Lightroom 4.3.  Is that sandboxed?  Maybe if Lightroom is Sandboxed and iMedia isn't, that would explain it?

Hi,

Each version of Lightroom has a separate prefs file. so it would be "com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist" - and no, Lightroom is not sandboxed. Is the Lightroom parser in iMedia 2.5 aware of version 4 of Lightroom?

iMedia 2.5 is aware of Lightroom 4 – and the standalone browser shows two Lightroom 4 libraries on my machine (but it freezes the app on my machine on image drag and drop off a Lightroom library (build of latest version on master branch)).

Anyhow, do the paths stored under key "recentLibraries20" in /Users/<your_user>/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist point to existing Lightroom 4 libararies on your user's machine? (After all, the code accessing the key "libraryToLoad20" seems to be void in iMedia 2.5.)

Jörg.
