Eleventh Portsmouth Translation Conference
Translation and Memory:
A workshop conference in collaboration with the British Comparative
Literature Association
Saturday 5 November 2011
Park Building, University of Portsmouth
The annual Portsmouth Translation Conference was begun in 2000. The
conference aims to bring together researchers, translators and
students for a day of papers and translation workshops, and is open to
anyone interested in translation. Past speakers have included well-
known scholars, translators and representatives of professional
translators' associations.
Registration is now open for the eleventh Portsmouth Translation
conference on the theme of Translation and Memory. The conference is
supported this year by the British Comparative Literature Association,
the Centre for European and International Studies Research and the
National Network for Translation.
The conference registration fee is £40, and there is a discounted fee
of £30 for postgraduate students. There is no charge for registered
secondary teachers and undergraduate students, whose participation is
supported by the National Network for Translation, an initiative of
Routes into Languages.
