Imdbpy won't stop flushing data, it just keeps on displaying flushing data for like 9hrs now. Its been nearly 12 hours since i started the script. is this normal?
i have used mysql and my rig specs are 8gb ram, ubuntu 16.04,core i3

No, it's not normal.
Isn't it proceeding at all, or is it just slow? Do you have the complete log?

Maybe you can try adding the -c option, that needs to point to an
empty directory,
so that a set of CSV temporary files are generated, to be later
imported to the db
in a batch.
