The option for independent variables did not appear. As a result, I could not obtain a continuous set of data. The text file i exported showed only one single value at lambda=3000A (the first value of the range I set).
Kindly advise, thanks.

This bug should be fixed in IMD V5.04. Let me know if you still have trouble.

Hi CST,
Hope you got your solution by now. If not I found an alternative to get your thing done.
In export data to text option, it given all values only when if x-axis is incident angle. But if you want to plot as a function of wavelength, then it gives you only first value in the range. Hope this is fixed in later versions (I haven't tried). But while calculating reflectivity or transmission, if you give a range of values for both incidence angle and wavelength, then while exporting the data, we get all values even for wavelength or any other parameter.
To be clear, if you want values of reflectivity for a range from 100 eV to 1000 eV with 1000 data points at an angle 1 degree from surface, then feed the same in the software, but while putting angle, instead of single value just keep 2 values say from 1-2 degrees with two data points. Then what you get is a kind of 3-d graph with color code. And while you export data it will give you option to either select continuous energy or incidence angle. Select continuous energy and select single angle (say 1 degree as what we need). The the exported text file contains all the values of energy and corresponding reflectivity as you need.
Hope this helps,
Panini
