Have you heard the news? Just like the headline says, Pink Floyd's Animals 2018 Remix by James Guthrie is finally arriving on September 16 on 180g LP via Pink Floyd Records/Sony Music. A Deluxe Gatefold Multidisc Version containing 1LP/1CD/1DVD/1BD will then follow on October 7.The facts are these: Pink Floyd's 10th studio album, January 1977's Animals, has been remixed for the first time by the band's longtime producer/engineer James Guthrie for the edition that's been officially titled Animals 2018 Remix. The album was remastered for vinyl by Guthrie, Joel Plante, and Bernie Grundman. In addition to the 180g black vinyl gatefold version, Animals 2018 Remix will also be made available as a standalone CD, Blu-ray, and SACD. The multidisc Deluxe Gatefold version includes an LP, CD, DVD, and Blu-ray, as well as a 32-page booklet. The Blu-ray and DVD both include the 2018 remix in stereo and in 5.1 (both by James Guthrie), as well as the original 1977 stereo mix. The 32-page booklet features rarely seen, behind the scenes photos of the album sleeve shoot along with live images and other Floydian memorabilia. The

I have to admit that I did not think it would come out so soon. After reading about the problems inter band. No matter it is coming. Hopefully they have gotten the kinks out of the new remasters. I currently compare the newest cd remaster and the 24/192 download and the 2016 vinyl press. I also have the 1991 cd release and the 1977 Japanese pressing 25AP-340 for future comparison. All the releases have good and bad points. The new vinyl/download and cd all share an expansive new soundstage and a clean sound. Fantastic quality. But with all good comes bad. The 1991 and Japanese pressings differ greatly. Gone is the extreme soundstage and cleanliness. Instead you get the rawness of the band. In the case of the vinyl..it is like they are in the room with you. David's guitar is scorching on the cd and Japanese vinyl. Roger and David's vocals are powerful and you can actually hear all the effects on tone on Roger Water's bass guitar. Also you can actually hear the words on the "prayer" section of Sheep. On my new versions you can barely hear it (in comparison) and the bass guitar is mixed so low in the mix that it is almost wiped out. So I own both and enjoy both for different reasons. Again this an opinion from a long time fan. Hopefully they have created a new mix that will bring back the raw energy- bass guitar clarity-vocal rawness - and effects clarity while keeping the new versions sweeping sound stage and keyboard washes in intact. IMO it is important that they have somehow brought all these critical combinations together in a cohesive package. The worst thing they could do is to mix it like a "modern" recording. I cant wait to see.

I pulled my original pressing out last night and guess the last time I spun it was 2013 as that was when it was labeled with the Mofi Enzyme, Record cleaner rinse, SOTA lpc vac cleaner and LAST record treatment.

After the catalog went over to the Sony Music universe, the Early/Later Years boxes essentially superseded the Immersion series. Let's just hope for a Middle Years box set to come, as I alluded to in another, previous comment. Knowing how the Floyd reissue machine operates, it seems practically inevitable, one would think... As this is analogue planet, I was hoping there'd be some info about the remixing and provenance of the LP. Are we talking AAA or ADA? For me, once there's a D in there, I'm sticking with D (ie ADD). No point in going back to A imho.

Planet Zoo: Console Edition brings the zoo simulation game to consoles for the first time. The game content matches Planet Zoo on the PC, including the years of free updates to the base game. However, this isn't just a straight port, since the menus and controls have all been re-designed to fit the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series SX.

We take a look at all the questions you might have about the game and answer them all, from what the controls are, to how many animals are included. Here's what you need to know about Planet Zoo: Console Edition.

This base game edition has everything you need to get started in your zoo management career. It contains all 72 base game animals, and four game modes: career mode, franchise mode, challenge mode and sandbox mode.

The deluxe edition is available as a standalone add-on, or bundled with the base game. It adds 16 new animals from the Wetlands and Southeast Asia, as well as two new campaign scenarios.

The first scenario sees you managing Green Leaf Zoological, which is situated in the Brazilian Pantanal, the world's largest wetland. The second takes place in Perek, Malaysia where you must turn a profit at Kuala Bintu Taman, surrounded by beautiful tropical rainforest.

This edition features everything in the Deluxe Edition as well as the upcoming Season Pass, which will comprise 14 DLC packs. These add 81 animals, 15 campaign scenarios, and over 2000 new scenery items to the game.

After launch, 14 DLC packs will be available over time. These will be purchasable individually or as part of the Season Pass that comes with the Ultimate Edition. The Season Pass content will be released over the next year and completed by March 31, 2025.

As with the PC version, there is no multiplayer zoo gameplay in Planet Zoo: Console Edition. However, you can trade animals with other players in Franchise Mode, and share your zoo creations with the community using the Frontier Workshop.

Partly. Trading on the Animal Market in Franchise mode is only available with players on the same platform. However, the Frontier Workshop is cross-platform, allowing you to share and download creations from across the entire console community.

The Console Edition has been optimized for controller use and also console performance. The menus have been redesigned to allow them to be more intuitive to navigate with a controller, but the same information is still included.

You'll also see a Complexity Meter in the console version. As your zoo becomes more detailed, this will keep track of how much needs to be loaded as you navigate the zoo. The higher this number, the more performance issues you may encounter.

This lets you decide if you want to sacrifice a little visual fidelity for that complex custom store you dreamed of, and also easily keep an eye on how different items can affect performance without having to make guesses.

Franchise mode is a bit disappointing. In this mode you build zoos and sell and trade animals on a global, online trading center. There are also community goals to achieve with other players, and these can net you a good sum of conversation credits. But I am disappointed in the fact that, when you build a new zoo, all your money and research do not carry over. You literally have to start over again. There is little point in build multiple zoos other than sharing your own animals between zoos. So you can setup a major breeding zoo and have another showcase zoo, but this is a stretch.

The highly immersive and realistic simulation game Planet Zoo puts players in the shoes of a zoo owner tasked with building, maintaining, and expanding a profitable zoo. The size, design, and type of zoo players can build is entirely up to them, but with this freedom comes some difficulty. There are a lot of animals to choose from and each has individual needs that must be maintained to ensure their happiness.

As a result, animals favorable for multispecies enclosures are often the most profitable and best for new players. They can share the same space, often have the same needs, and receive and provide bonuses to those they share space with. If players are interested in creating multi-species enclosures, here are the best Planet Zoo animals that can live together.
