Musa (Korean: 무사; Hanja: 武士; RR: Musa; lit. "The Warrior"), released as both The Warrior and The Ultimate Warrior in English-speaking countries, is a 2001 South Korean epic action drama film directed by Kim Sung-su, starring Jung Woo-sung, Ahn Sung-ki, Joo Jin-mo and Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi. The semi-historical story follows the adventures of a Korean peace delegation as they try to get back to Korea through the inhospitable deserts of northern China.
The film is regarded as being one of the biggest motion pictures in the history of South Korean cinema. At the time of its production its budget was the largest ever for a Korean film. It features a high degree of historical accuracy in period costumery, props, settings, and most unusually, language; that is, everyone speaks in their native tongues or through an interpreter conversant in a lingua franca. The film was the 8th highest-grossing film of 2001 with over two million tickets sold.[1]
The film presents a fictionalised account of a real Korean diplomatic mission sent to China in 1375. Chun-Yong Son was to present a herd of horses as gifts to the Hongwu Emperor but he and his party were reported to have been exiled and there was no record of their return to Korea. At the time, the Ming government was unhappy with Korea as the Korean government continued to acknowledge the Mongols as the legitimate rulers of China (this was true until 1378).[2] Eventually the Koreans managed to gain favour with the Ming government and the relationship became very cordial.
Maybe I'm wishing for the impossible but it's something I'd absolutely love to see. I'm a 6th Grade Social Studies teacher in the American South and was recently covering the Ghana, Mali and Songhai Empires for my students. It was pretty impressive to see their eyes awaken to something totally new for them. I gotta figure HBO could pull of something similar to say their epic series "Rome". Who wouldn't wanna see a Kingdom of Heaven-esque film featuring the Kingdom of Aksum (Ethiopia). I mean so many stories Hollywood and other global film industries have either neglected or ignored that'd make for worthy viewing if done well.

Sure, the whole rag-tag-band-of-highly-skilled-warriors-versus-a-mammoth-army has been done countless times before, but never in such an emotionally charged, beautifully filmed, superbly choreographed and convincingly acted way. Everything WORKS here, from the cast (Zhang Ziyi stands out as Princess Buyoung), to the battle sequences (as HUGE and deftly filmed as anything in the highly touted Gladiator), to the cinematography, to the music, to the engaging plot. Musa is, simply, the best movie ever produced on the Asian continent.

Netuším, do čoho investovali tých 5 miliónov, do masiek a gore asi ťažko. Emócie to nezanechá žiadne a ráno si už ani nebudem pamätať, o čom to bolo.

Ia telah melahirkan film-film kolosal yang kini terbilang klasik sepreti The Bridge On The River Kwai, Lawrence Of Arabia dan Doctor Zhivago.
Belum diketahui seperti apa cerita film Exodus.
Publik sini bisa menyaksikan Passion of the Christ (2004) maupun Son of God (2014) di bioskop.
Our treasured friend Musa Jaiteh was recently filmed and interviewed for a short documentary film all about how he's keeping the tradition of dyeing textiles with kola nut and indigo alive in The Gambia.
It's a beautiful, informative and touching film by the Insider Business 'Still Standing' team, who focus on the survival of indigenous crafts.
You'll meet Musa and his family, learn about his work and marvel at their skill and dedication.
Beautifully rendered by award-winning photographer Jason Florio, another of our friends in The Gambia, Musa's film is very positive about the future.
Asked about dyeing fabrics for the blockbuster film The Woman King, Musa said, 'It was a sign to keep going and make sure the craft stays alive.'
