Yes. Just make sure that you have added a payment card to your iPhone and Apple Watch and enabled Express Mode. You can add a card to Apple Watch with the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Just remember to always use the same device to tap in and out when paying with Apple Pay.

I really need to be able to sync across ipad, iphone and chrome browser. It is wasting so much time inputting sessions on different devices. Also to remember sessions and blocklists if you delete the app and reinstall it. Sometimes I have accidentally added something to a blocklist that I need urgently and have had to delete for access, but when I reinstall it has forgotten everything and you have to start from scratch.

Transport for New South Wales has announced it has kicked off a 12-month trial of the Opal digital card, which will enable commuters to "tap on" and "tap off" public transport using their digital wallet on their smartphone or watch.

"We have seen the increased popularity of using a digital wallet to conduct shopping and access membership cards, so we're delighted to be taking Opal digitally for the first time while providing the same Opal card benefits to adult customers," a Transport for NSW spokesperson said.

Those who meet the eligibility criteria will be asked to register their contact details, be requested to download the Opal digital card trial app, and link it to their Opal Connect account, before adding their Opal digital card to their digital wallet.

During the trial, participants will receive a new Opal digital card, which would be separate from their existing Opal card. They will also be able to report any issues, provide feedback, or request help via the Opal digital card app, as well as participate in interviews and surveys.

Working with Cubic Transportation System, Transport for NSW introduced the payment system to allow commuters to pay for their travel via the PayPass or PayWave function on either their debit or credit cards -- including smartphones and any smart devices that have NFC payment capability -- in lieu of using an Opal card.

Earlier this year, the state government touted the contactless payments system as a success, announcing that 30 million journeys had been taken using debit or credit cards or linked devices, such as smartphones or watches, since 2017 when the state government first trialled the feature on Sydney ferries.

My Opal is an iPhone app developed by Alistair Phillips that allows you to track your Opal card balance and journey history across Sydney's trains, ferries, buses, and light rail. This full version app lets you see how much you paid for each leg of your journey and displays balances for multiple Opal cards registered under your login. Additionally, the fare calculator helps you work out how much your next trip will cost.

The app features an Opal Retailer Map that lists all top-up locations, along with a Today extension and Apple Watch app that provides you with information at a glance. Please note that this app is not affiliated with Transport for NSW, and your Opal card login details are required to use this app, which are safely transmitted using a secure https connection. By using this application, you authorise that login information is transmitted to a third party via means of a secure connection.

The government of New South Wales in Australia today announced that the Opal ticketing system now supports Express Mode for Apple Pay payments, allowing the fare card to be added to the Wallet app on a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch for tap-and-go payments across the public transport network.

Transport for NSW undertook a staggered rollout of Express Mode across the 25,000 card readers on the Opal network, starting with ferries and light rail, then train stations, and then the thousands of Opal readers on buses, which finished this week.

Give your iPhone a unique, chic and jeweled look and stand out in the crowd. The colorful opal cases are made of soft, flexible, and durable material, featuring 1.2mm raised edges around the camera and screen for extra protection.

Once you have the physical card, you can top up your Myki via the Public Transport Victoria website or app, at pay stations, affiliated shops or by calling 1800 800 007. Android users can use Myki Mobile to top up credit and tap on public transport, without the need for a physical Myki card. As the Myki infrastructure is updated to accept credit and debit cards, Myki Mobile will extend to iPhone users. This will also open up tap-on payments for Apple watches.

On Monday TransportNSW completed its roll-out of contactless payment support for the Opal smart card travelling system. That means that you can now use your phone or creditcard to tap on and off Opal enabled trains, buses and ferries as well as thelight rail and metro system.

To use your phone as your Opal card you'll need a bank or credit card provider that supports Google Pay, Apple Pay or Samsung Pay and a smartphone with NFC (near-field communication). Nearly all flagship and most mid-range smartphones these days come with NFC built in.

Once you've checked you have the necessary hardware and banking support, you'll need to setup Google Pay, Apple Pay or Samsung Pay with at least one credit or debit card. You'll then be able to tap on and off as you would with your Opal card.

However, it'simportant to note that you will only receive these benefits if you use the samecredit or debit card tapping on and off for all your journeys over therelevant period of time. That means if you use your Mastercard for journeys onMonday and Tuesday, and your Visa debit card for journeys on Wednesday andThursday, you won't get your weekly travel reward on Friday and the weekend.

If you're using yourphone as your Opal card, it's also important to make sure it has enough charge to last the journey. Ifyour phone goes flat while you're travelling, as well as losing the opportunity totap off, you could be liable for fines if transit officers are conducting ticket checks.

So now, with an Express Transit card configured, you can theoretically enter the metro or trains with just a tap of your phone or watch. However, this is where the second requirement comes into play: transit system compatibility.

As always, Express Transit is available in Japan with Suica, and Beijing and Shanghai with the local transit cards. There is only one place right now that allows Express Transit for normal payment cards: the TriMet in Portland. So if you live in Portland, you are in luck!
