Networkavailability is a fundamental prerequisite for access to data and applications. It can be a key concern for enterprises that run multiple data centers, since users need to be able to access application servers and data everywhere with the best connections and fastest performance possible.

Some of the many factors that can affect network availability include power supply or physical disruption (such as may be caused by natural disasters), component capacity and connection limits, component failures, and malicious attacks. In addition, when a network connects users with data spread across large geographical distances, latency becomes a significant factor in network performance.

I have a Samsung A50. I updated it 12/30 and since then I'm having problems. I have had calls dropped, but now it's more serious. I cannot text...it says "pending". I cannot call...it says "mobile network not available". I cannot receive calls...goes to voicemail, but I don't get any voicemails.

Hmm, sounds like me. Yesterday my a715g uw went totally bonkers, no network, no service nothing. Texts pending, yup. Spent 2 hours with teck support- switched out sim card. Now that one works, BUT my s20 with NEW sim will not even put up a phone number. Another 2 hours and NO FIX> About to hit them up again.

I am having the same issue. It seems to happen when you log into WiFi. If you log out of wifi, you will lose network connection. If you restart your phone it works just fine, until you get to wifi again. Does that sound the same?

I have a Samsung Galaxy A50 and have had the same problem since the software updated January 3rd. I contacted Xfinity Support and they had me reset my network settings and reset things on their end. Only helped temporarilly, and I lost all my WiFi and Bluetooth settings in the process. The Airplane mode trick works, so thank you @thenowhereman3 for that tip , but is still a pain to have to do whenever leaving a WiFi area. I've also noticed that the phone no longer connects to XFINITY WiFi when available. It stays on the mobile network. Suspect it is also related to the software update.

Now it seems I am not always automatically connecting to wifi. They tell me I have used 80% of my by the gig. I rarely go over 1 gig, so it must be disconnecting from the wifi. I will try the airplane mode thing, if I can remember. I wish I never updated.

@ComcastChe you realize that is not a solution, right? It is a pain in the butt work-around but not a solution. So many people are having this issue, why has it not been corrected? We have gotten absolutely nowhere with tech support. THe phone works fine until it disconnects from the wireless network.

MLB Network has offered baseball lovers everything they could desire since it launched in 2009. And now, it has never been easier to enjoy the Emmy Award-winning network, because beginning today, MLB Network is available directly to consumers in the United States.

Fans can now stream select live out-of-market games, award-winning studio shows, entertaining original content and more. Plus, with the playoff races heating up and the July 30 Trade Deadline fast approaching, MLB Network is a must-have for every baseball enthusiast right now.

Current and future MLB.TV paid subscribers can stream MLB Network for the remainder of this season at no additional cost. And for the 10th consecutive year, fans who receive MLB Network from a participating pay-TV partner can watch via an authenticated stream. (Viewers will be subject to local blackouts for live games on MLB Network and provided with alternate programming.)

I would like to create a network dataset from a .shp file, but the tool "Create Network Dataset" doesn't appear in Geoprocessing (first pic). I am supposed to have the Network Analyst extension installed (second pic)

Also, it looks like some tools show in English while others show in French. The Create Network Dataset tool may be one that shows in French. It may show if you search for the name in French instead of English.

I'm having the same problem. Did you manage to solve it? The replies to your answer don't help since they assume that you just don't know where to look for it. Please let me know if you could solve the problem. thanks.

I keep encountering an irritating blocker when attempting to create a Host Pool for my project's Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) in Azure and I'm at my wits end figuring out what could be causing this issue.

However, when attempting to create the Host Pool for the WVD which is the next resource we're seeking to provision manually through the Portal, I get prompted to Add virtual machines and upon selecting the option to add a virtual machine, I'm prompted to complete the Network and security configuration. However, the Virtual network dropdown isn't populated with any list, rather showing as "None available".

The Virtual Network definitely exists and I can't understand why the dropdown list continues to be empty. I've deleted and recreated the entire resource group on a number of occasions but all to no avail. Any advice or suggestions on how to get past this issue would be much appreciated.

By default, Azure was populating the Virtual machine location field with the name of a region where my VNets didn't exist. Once I'd spotted this and switched it to the correct Region, the Virtual network dropdown list further below was populated as expected.

Hi

I previously set up wireless networking on a new install of arch linux (although I did it in a repeatable way I understood at the time, I don't recall the specific method I used now - not sure if this is some kind of long-covid or aging) and could connect to my wifi using iwd without an issue.

So my question is what is now stopping me from connecting with my laptop's internal wifi card (wlan0)? I have previously used debian, and suspected I needed to look at /etc/network/interfaces (or something) but of course networking is set up differently.

I probably ran sudo pacman -Syu and just clicked yes when it asked if I wanted to update, so might have updated the kernel. I will try the lts kernel and disabling the power saving feature later when I get a chance.

How to Ask Questions the Smart Way

Hi thanks for your help. The delay here is just due to me being extremely busy with work - hopefully things should calm down now for a few days.

Below is the link to the journal you requested. I am not sure if this is the best format for this information - I hope so.

Thanks

Monitor, analyze, diagnose, and optimize database performance and DataOps that drive your business-critical applications. Unify on-premises and cloud database visibility, control, and management with streamlined monitoring, data integration, and tuning across multiple vendors.

Modernize your service desk with intelligent and automated ticketing, asset, configuration, and service-level agreement (SLA) management; a knowledge base; and a self-service portal with secure remote assistance. SolarWinds offers an easy-to-use IT service management (ITSM) platform designed to meet your service management needs to maximize productivity while adhering to ITIL best practices.

Ensure user experience with unified performance monitoring, tracing, and metrics across applications, clouds, and SaaS. Reduce attack surface, manage access, and improve compliance with IT security solutions designed for accelerated time-to-value ranging from security event management, access rights management, identity monitoring, server configuration monitoring and patching, and secure gateway and file transfer.

Network availability, also referred to as network uptime, denotes the overall duration for which the clients can seamlessly access the resources, such as servers and printers, available on a computer network. Most organizations aim for five nines (99.999%) of availability, a widely accepted, high-availability standard, to avoid potential revenue losses due to network sluggishness or unavailability.

Building a highly available and reliable network requires organizations to regularly track and resolve the issues causing network slowdown or failure. Power outages, device failures, configuration errors, faulty connections, and malicious attacks are some of the reasons for subpar network performance. Performing an in-depth network assessment is vital for identifying the root cause of your network problems. However, seeing how business networks are extremely complex and spread over multiple geographical locations, it can be challenging to pinpoint the exact location in your network where the issue persists. Manually gathering network performance data from IT teams in different business locations can also be time-consuming and costly. Therefore, you should utilize automated solutions for faster and more reliable network availability troubleshooting.

Network monitoring tools can rapidly scan all the network assets and report back immediately upon discovering uptime, bandwidth, and other performance issues so you can promptly fix them and optimize network performance.

Network availability calculation requires two key values: network uptime and the total duration of the given period. Dividing the former value with the latter and multiplying the result by 100 gives you the availability value in percentage form. Network uptime is constantly monitored by organizations to maximize the availability of their hosted services or applications. Determining overall uptime requires you to track your network devices for configuration errors, CPU overuse, and other performance issues leading to network slowdown or failure.
