Naming Computers

Hello,

I'm in the process of moving from DS to Imagr.  I'm looking to name computers automatically based on it's record in our inventory system (Lansweeper in this case).  I've written a script to return the DNS name based on the serial number.  Can I simply put this in a script in my workflow, or would something else be required?

$ curl --data "serialNumber=mySerialNumber" http://server.ad.domain.tld:8080/nameLookup/

myComputerName.ad.domain.tld

Sure, put that as a first boot script and I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. You obviously would need to handle setting the name.
