Good afternoon everyone!

The Hopkins Imaging Initiative (HII) (imaging.jhu.edu) is happy to announce our first series of imaging seminar chalk talks this semester. We have 3 external speakers this year, who will host an extended Q&A and educational session for Hopkins students, following the traditional BME seminars.

Our imaging speakers for the fall semester include
1) Dr. Frank Sachse - UUtah - Images and models of T tubule system in normal and failing myocytes
2) Dr. Guang-Hong Chen - UWMadison - Advanced CT Recon
3) Dr. Eric Betzig - HHMI - novel optical imaging tools in an effort to open new windows into molecular, cellular, and neurobiology (chalk talk to be confirmed)

This will be a wonderful and precious opportunity to have in-depth discussion and interactions with our invited guest speakers. Lunch will be served for the BME seminars, and light snacks and drinks will be provided for the chalk talks.

Please sign up at the form below or fill out online at

Seats will be provided at a first-come, first-serve basis, base on the sign-up.

Thank you very much and hope to see you all at the seminars/chalk talks!

Carmen and Sajendra
