Summary: EXIF image rotation not respected

Initial Comment:
When an image has been rotated in say Gnome Image Viewer, the rotation is saved in the EXIF information. When a rotated image is previewed in Nautalis or Gnome Image Viewer, it looks correct, but when the image is opened in Imagination the EXIF image rotation is not respected anymore and is in the original orientation.

Message:
I can't reproduce the bug. I used Eye Of Gnome 2.32.1, rotate the image,
saved it and opened in Imagination 3.0, the thumbnail at the bottom is
displayed with the correct rotation and so the picture in the image area.

Which Imagination version are you using?

Message:
I am using Eye of Gnome 2.32.0, which is up to date on Fedora 14. I
reproduced the bug on SVN version of Imagination (3.0-r610) and stable
release 3.0.

Can you please attach some screenshot of the problem here? The image in eog
and the same image loaded in Imagination?

Thanks,
Giuseppe

Message:
Hmm, I can't reproduce the problem by rotating any new images. But, about
10 images I previously rotated on another Fedora 14 machine are still
incorrectly rotated. EOG shows them as correctly rotated, but Imagination
does not. I'll have to wait to see the version of EOG on the machine that
rotated them, but it is still and up-to-date Fedora 14 machine.

Message:
Imagination does not read, as far as I know, exif informations, so it won't
be able to rotate according information which are not read...
I would say, use another software, which does real rotation, rotate images
in imagination or submit a patch to read and apply rotation infomation ;-)
