Initial Comment:
I'm not very good with autoconf so I had to force it, but apparently it's necessary to explicitly link against libgmodule-2.0 for the following reason:
CCLD imagination
/usr/bin/ld: imagination-callbacks.o: undefined reference to symbol 'g_module_close'
/usr/bin/ld: note: 'g_module_close' is defined in DSO /lib64/libgmodule-2.0.so.0 so try adding it to the linker command line
/lib64/libgmodule-2.0.so.0: could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
