Just like the Subject line states is there a way to select multiple photos at once to save all at once? or does it have to be selected one at a time?

The thumbnail bar reflects the current viewing image. it does not support selecting multiple images.

But you can use multiple copy/cut functions to select multiple files, then paste them to where you want
