ImageGlass not opening long path files

Are the long path supported in IG?

Because it seems I am unable to open files with path longer the 260 characters. I saw an old comment  here saying that it should work but unfortunately even with old version (7.0.7.26) of the software, it doesn't work either.

Could it be a setting configuration on my side?

There were some efforts to support the long path, but it still remains an open issue.

Just tried with the beta version, it seems to be working! Still strange that it doesn't work witth the version 8.6.7.13...

I have the same issue, and I have long paths enabled. If I try to open a long path file ImageGlass only opens a blank window with no image, however if I open a shorter name file from the same folder and navigate from to the long files, they will open correctly. But when they're opened directly they won't show up.

Is there any hope for fixing this? This is really annoying to deal with

Hello all, I am getting newly acquainted with ImageGlass and I am loving the app.

I also ran into this, and similar to Benjamin's 25 July 2022 response, installing the latest 9.0 beta has resolved my issues.

Reading through the discussion on the relevant GitHub thread ( https://github.com/d2phap/ImageGlass/issues/530 ), towards the end there was mention of it potentially being a .NET specific issue. I am wondering if this might actually be the case (I am not competent enough to contribute to a detailed technical discussion), as I was prompted to install .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime (v6.0.8) x64 before being able to run the 9.0 beta .exe file.

I did not take any additional steps beyond installing the .NET Desktop Runtime (did not enable Win32 Long Path support), and long path files are opening without issue using the 9.0 beta.
