I found an issue on github that stated a similar issue but was seemingly resolved in a later update, but I can't find the setting for it anymore.

Specifically, it seemed to do with the counting of files when it opens. This issue was closed when an option to turn off the file counting was added, but I no longer see the option in the current version of Kobe (8.5.1.22 x64) on Windows 10.

The current issue I am having is that I can open a file in the folder; this one opens immediately and I am able to view it, but it takes more than a few seconds before I am able to scroll through the list of images in the folder. Is there still a setting that resolves this issue in the current version?

I'm not certain what setting you're referring to. Issue #881 was closed when a change was introduced to show the first image immediately, not waiting for the full folder scan.

My experience has been that you want to turn OFF "use explorer sort order" and make sure image sorting is by "Name". IG does extra work during image load when sort order is anything but "Name".

Maybe someone else with better memory knows otherwise?
