Requirement:
Currently clickThrough link is clickable for the whole ima3 container. My requirement is to show the clickThrough link like youtube does. Also should able to change the css style. For this, I am trying to using the  opt_clickTrackingElement. Is there any other way?

In the JS code, As you can see the custom click element is passed. But when clicking on, it's not triggering the clickthrough url and clicktracker events.
this.customClickDiv_ = document.getElementById("customClick");

Hi there,

Kindly note that Custom Click elements are only enabled on mobile environments, as mentioned in this document. Checking the value of the isCustomClickTrackingUsed() method on your sample page always returns 'false', which explains why the click-through events are not being fired.

Hi Support

So on desktop the SDK will not make use of the optional clickTrackingElement. Does this mean that the only supported way of handling click-through is to have the entire container clickable?

Thanks

Arild

Hi Arild,

You are correct; the only supported way of handling click-through is to have the entire container clickable as the SDK will only use the custom click tracking element when non-AdSense/AdX creatives are displayed in environments that do not support UI elements overlaying a video player (e.g., iPhone or pre-4.0 Android).

Please let me know if you have further clarification.
