Hi,

I have been trying to DFP and also general VAST support to a flash player and I am having some trouble with the minSuggestedDuration and duration variables on nonlinear objects.

Here is the VAST XML that I am using for my overlay ad: http://demo.octoshape.com/pierre/adtest/overlay.xml . However it never goes away, it stays active forever even though both minSuggestedDuration and duration have been set in the VAST XML.
And no event is fired letting the player know that it can take down the ad.

I also tried it using the vast inspector site and I see the same thing there.

Does your SDK not support duration on nonlinear objects?

Hi Pierre,

We do support the minSuggestedDuration property, but the VAST 3.0 spec doesn't have a duration property for nonlinear elements. Since there's no upper-bound property on nonlinears, there's not really an event we could throw that you could hook into. The Ad object exposes a duration property if you listen to an AdEvent, but that won't get populated from the XML on a nonlinear.

Have a great day,
