iOS SDK: Error loading ads: The VAST response document is empty.

I am having a hard time getting ads to load using the IMA iOS SDK. We are using a DFP vast tag and every time I try to use the sdk to load ads, I get the response:

Error loading ads: The VAST response document is empty.

When I load our vast tag in a network client, I am able to see a valid VAST response. But when I try to use that tag in the iOS SDK, nothing loads. Is there some type of cookie or rate limiting that would cause the tags to not return ads every call during development?

Hi Matt,

Are you able to reproduce that in our sample app as well?  If not, can you send us the tag so we can take a closer look as to why it's always serving an empty VAST response?  Also, make sure you are on the latest SDK version.

FYI, there are many factors involved that cause the server to return an empty VAST document.  If the server thinks your requests are duplicates of each other, then it will issue an empty VAST response.  Also, depending on whether you have frequency capping in place, that will also determine how often you get valid XML response from the server.

So if you could tell us more about how you are requesting your ads, that'd give us more insights.
