Hi,
I am trying to play multiple IMA.

Previously, with just one ad, I am able to integrate and preload the ad. Then, i can play the ad by calling adsManager.start() wherever i want.

However, after switch to 2 ads, the adsManager LOADED event is being triggered twice, and the ads just start playing automatically after loaded, without the need of calling adsManager.start().

i notice that the STARTED event being called automatically after the second LOADED event.

Can someone please assist?

Thank you.

Hi there,

Can you clarify what you mean by "2 ads"? Are you requesting for a playlist of ads (VMAP) or through multiple ad requests?

Can you provide to us the affected Ad Tags for us to check on our end? You can use the Reply Privately to Author option if you are not comfortable sharing it publicly. Kindly check if you can replicate the behavior you described on the VSI or our sample pages as well.

i've tried to replace my ad tag in the basic example on Github, it only shows one ad, and then resume the content.
Please help me on how to play two ads one after another.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thank you for providing to us the affected Ad Tag privately.

I would like to apologize since I have linked you our HTML5 samples instead of our samples from Android.

Moving forward, I tried out your Ad Tag on our AdvancedExample and I was able to see the 2 ads play back to back. The duplicate LOADED and STARTED Ad Event you may have observed is simply because each ad in a VMAP Tag is considered a separate ad and will fire their own Ad Event. Since the tag you provided has 2 ads, 2 LOADED and STARTED Ad Events will fire. The tag you provided also seems to be an Ad Playlist, which will play back-to-back, one after the other, which may give the impression that only one ad is playing. Please note that this is expected behavior.

As for pre-loading, you may use the AdsRenderingSettings.html.setEnablePreloading() method once the Ad Request returns successfully on the AdsManagerLoadedEvent to enable pre-loading of the creatives upon initializing the AdsManager through AdsManager.init().

However, i need to start the ads later in my app. When the ads done loaded (LOADED event), it will start playing automatically, without me calling adsMananger.start()

Can you help on this?

Thanks.

Hi Pong,

This seems to be caused by the Ad Tag you are using as it is an Ad Playlist, which automatically starts playing when the AdsManager is initialized via AdsManager.init(), and was described in our BasicExample.

If you would like to schedule ads later in your content, then you may consider using mid-roll ads. However, configuration of Ad Tags are out of scope of our support. You would need to contact your Ad Provider for assistance on how to set it up.
