Google traffic from sdk referrer

I am looking to see anybody has any theories about some analytics traffic coming from the sdk api and google ASN:

I'm not a user of the api, but I was wondering if someone would give me some feedback for some traffic behavior I'm seeing.

In Google Analytics, programmatic ads seem to be getting traffic from the referrer "imasdk.googleapis.com" and the traffic is coming from the same ASN as google bots. It seems this traffic is intentionally stripping the utm source out of the visit to the site.

There is no user agent identifier for this traffic. I'm wondering if this is something inherent to the sdk that's coming from google's side. Or whoever is serving these ads (auction market) is using the api to check links.

Obviously, any automated traffic that tracks as users in analytics is bad, so was curious about possible causes before proceeding with a solution via hard block or analytics filters.
