creativeID vs universalAdId

Hi Guys,

Could anyone please briefly explain what's the difference between the creativeid and universaladid and why it is split like that? Seems like I cant find any meaningful explanation.

CreativeID : The creativeId is a Google-generated identifier unique to each creative asset served through Google's ad systems.

• It's mainly used internally within Google's ad infrastructure for things like ad selection, reporting, and delivery.

android SDK: Ad Class Reference:The getCreativeId() method returns the ID of the selected creative for the ad.
iOS SDK : The creativeID property returns the ID of the selected creative for the ad.
HTML5 SDK: Ad Interface Reference getAdID method return id for ad.
tvOS SDK: IMAAd Class Reference creativeID.

UniversaladID: This is an industry-standard identifier, defined by standards like VAST 4.x. For additional details, kindly visit the link.
