Hi,

Is It possible to change language in HTML5 SDK? Tried adsRequest.language with no success.

Hi Alvaro,

What type of ads and what text are to trying to change? The ability to change ads and how it's done will depend on whether you're serving DFP or AdSense/AdExchange ads and what text you want to change in them. If you send me the ad tag with which you're testing, that would probably be the easiest way for me to give you an answer.

Thanks,

Hi Shawn and thank you for your quick answer.

Im talking about changing the "skip ad" text to other languages (like adsrequest.language does in flash sdk) in a linear preroll served by DFP.

Is this available in html5 sdk?

Thank you again

Hey Alvaro,

This is supported, but it's missing from our documentation (we're making sure it gets added now). Before you create *any* ima objects (AdDisplayContainer, AdsLoader, etc.) you can call google.ima.settings.setLocale() and pass it a locale string. For example, I set mine to 'es' and the skip button text shows up in Spanish. If you have any other questions let us know!

Hi Rafael,

I took a look at our supported languages, and it looks like Portuguese is denoted as "pt_pt". We do this because we also support Brazilian Portuguese, which is "pt_br". If you have any other questions let us know!

Dear Shawn,

Can you please give me an update or a confirmation that the skip button can be translated. I could read your post from 2014 and your wrote that it's possible, but the documentation was missing. Currently my devs were trying documentation, but nothing was available.

We want to localize the skip button text into German.

Best,
Piotr

Hey Piotr,

We do have this documented now - see Localizing for language and locale and let me know if that helps.

Thanks,
